Josh and Emily Bowers have been in ministry for nearly two decades.

Josh helped pioneer Fresh Life Church on the launch team under Pastor Levi Lusko. He was a staff member and Pastor for 8 years before sensing a call from God to plant Cross & Anchor Church. Pastor Levi and Jennie gave Josh and Emily their blessing and released them to plant Cross & Anchor in 2016.

Josh was molded in ministry at Calvary of Albuquerque with Pastor Skip Heitzig and continues to learn and grow as the Lord works in His life. He has been an ordained Pastor for 15 years. 

Emily is a keen creative with a massive heart for people. She loves being able to pour herself out to serve the church and her family.

Josh and Emily felt called to pursue a church plant in a large city in 2016 and this journey led them to Detroit. Josh has been a speaker at conferences, churches, and events with an immense passion to preach God’s word.

They have been married for 10 years and have 3 beautiful kids, London, Jack & August.
